Concessionary Travel

Local bus travel with us can be great value. As well as our range of discount day, season and combination tickets, we offer concessionary travel rates to many people, including children, students and the elderly. Concessionary permits are usually issued by your local council or education establishment, so please do contact them for more details. You must always carry your concessiofnary permit when travelling, and show it to the driver each time you board the bus.

Travel for Children

Children aged under 5 travel free on our services, provided they are accompanied by an adult passenger.

For those of you who are aged 14 to 18, a b_line card gives you discount travel on buses and trains in Derbyshire, top discounts at various shops and services and can also be used as your library card. For more information on the b_line scheme, please view the b_line website.

IGO pass

The igo pass is a concessionary pass available for 11-16 year olds, it costs £5 and you can only get one if you live in or go to school in Greater Manchester. The igo pass gives concessions on tickets such as the System One Junior Bus Saver season ticket. The igo pass must be presented in Greater Manchester to qualify for child fare.

Travel for Senior Citizens

Concessionary pass holders qualify for free bus travel with High Peak at off-peak times from 1st April 2008. You need to obtain a permit from your local district or borough council to claim the concession on the bus. Off-peak travel means anytime between 09:30 and 23:00 (11pm) Monday to Friday, or any time at weekends or on public holidays. Local residents can get additional travel benefits, including free or reduced rate peak time travel.
