Saturday 21st July 2018 - Stockport Carnival

The Carnival procession commences Southbound from Belmont Way at 13:00hrs, at the same time the A6 will be closed from Exchange Street to Belmont Way. Our Skyline 199 Service will be delayed.

Our Trans Peak service from Manchester will operate the normal route to Chapel House, left onto Manchester Road (A626), Lancashire Hill, right into Great Egerton Street, continue to roundabout, take 2nd exit into King Street West, left at Chestergate and into the Bus Station.

Our Trans Peak services departing Stand Z should exit the Bus Station via McColl's, right at the traffic lights into Daw Bank (Past the Plaza), Wood Street, left at the traffic lights into King Street West, forward Shaw Heath, at roundabout take 2nd exit into Shaw Heath (B5464), left at Longshut Lane West, right at traffic lights on the A6 and pick up its normal route.

Our Skyline 199 services from Manchester Airport to Buxton, will operate the normal route to King Street West, left at Chestergate and into the Bus Station.

Our Skyline 199 services departing from Stand Z in Stockport Bus Station will exit the Bus Station via St Peters Square, forward Piccadilly, comply roundabout, left at junction into Edward Street to traffic lights, turn at the traffic lights into Hillgate continue to second set of traffic lights and turn right into Longshut Lane, contine to traffic lights and turn left onto A6 and resume the normal route.

Bus Stops Affected: Skyline 199 - Grand Central, Stockport College and Brentall Street. No stops on the Trans Peak service will be affected.

Journeys affected by the Carnival: Skyline 199 from Stockport at 13:05hrs, 13:35hrs and 14:05hrs. The 13:15hrs trip on the Trans Peak from Manchester will also be affected.

Once the Carnival Procession has cleared Stockport Town Hall, all services will resume to normal. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused.
